Meet Our Founder

Hi, we're so glad you're here.

No Strings Dress Hire was founded by Johanna, a proud Bendigo local who has called the region home for more than 30 years.

Fashion has always been a passion, but helping women feel confident has always been the real purpose behind the business.

Johanna is a qualified stylist through the Australian Style Institute and is currently completing a Master's in Styling. Over the years she's worked alongside stylists, television presenters and public figures, but what she enjoys most is helping everyday women find the perfect outfit for life's biggest celebrations.

Today, our team continues to build on that same philosophy.

Every customer deserves honest advice, genuine service and a welcoming environment where they can enjoy trying on beautiful dresses without feeling rushed or pressured.

Our Story

Like so many women, Johanna had a wardrobe full of beautiful dresses that had only been worn once before being tucked away forever.

At the same time, finding designer occasion wear locally in Bendigo was incredibly difficult.

So in 2022, No Strings Dress Hire began as a small passion project operating from a spare bedroom with just a handful of dresses.

Word quickly spread.

As more women discovered the benefits of designer dress hire, the collection grew, along with a loyal community of customers who loved having access to premium fashion without the premium price tag.

In late 2023, No Strings became a full-time business.

Then, in September 2024, we proudly opened the doors to our Bendigo CBD showroom.

Today we're proud to offer Regional Victoria's largest designer dress hire collection, helping thousands of women every year find the perfect outfit for weddings, formals, races, graduations, black-tie events and every special occasion in between.
