No Strings Dress Hire Goals for 2025: My To-Do List for the Year Ahead
If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for a list. Give me some new stationery, a highlighter, and a notepad, and I’m a happy camper! Setting goals and making lists has become a vital part of staying on track in both my business and personal life. When I write things down, it’s like creating a roadmap for everything I want to achieve.
It helps me break down big dreams (which often include just surviving the week) into manageable tasks. And the best part? The satisfaction of ticking things off as I go. Here are the goals I’m setting for No Strings in 2025:
1. Move into a Bigger, Better Space
As No Strings continues to grow, our need for more space is becoming obvious. A larger showroom in Bendigo will allow us to create a better space where customers can try on dresses, feel fabulous, and experience No Strings in all its glory.
2. Expand Our Designer Collection
We’re committed to offering even more of your favourite Australian and international labels. This will ensure there’s always something fresh, stylish, and perfect for every event. Building and maintaining relationships with designers I love is at the core of this goal.
3. Increase Size Inclusivity
We’ll be expanding our size range to 6-20 to make sure every body type feels catered for and confident. Plus, we’re focused on ensuring these sizes are practical, high-quality, and stylish.
4. Maintain & Strengthen Our Online Presence
From improving our SEO to posting more relatable, honest content, we’re working hard to make sure we’re where our customers are — online. No gimmicks, just real, helpful content that reflects who we are.
5. Keep Social Media Real & Relatable (and more of it)
No fake perfection here. Our goal is to keep showing up authentically on social media — sharing behind-the-scenes moments, useful info, and the real-life joys (and struggles) of running a small business. Because connection beats perfection, every time.
6. Enhance the In-Store Experience
We want to offer even more personalised experiences, like one-on-one styling sessions, after-hours events, and making every customer feel valued, special, and heard when they walk through our doors.
7. Improve Sustainability Practices
We’re continuously looking for ways to reduce our environmental footprint, whether it’s by using eco-friendly packaging, greener cleaning methods, or educating our customers on why dress hire is the sustainable choice.
8. Streamline Postage & Logistics (or TRYING to!)
I’m working on improving delivery reliability, especially around public holidays and those “weather event” dramas. The goal is to make sure our customers get their dresses in the safest, most reliable way possible — even when Mother Nature tries to mess things up.
9. Grow My Team
2025 is the year we bring in passionate team members who can support the daily operations. This will allow me (Jo) to focus more on growing the business and maintaining a balance that doesn’t leave me in burnout territory.
10. Be Regional Victoria’s Favourite Dress Hire Boutique
Our goal is to become the go-to destination for premium dress hire across regional Victoria — not just Bendigo, but also Echuca, Castlemaine, Kyneton, Shepparton, Ballarat, and beyond. We want to be known for exceptional customer service, high-quality dresses, and real connections with our local communities.
11. Sponsor More Clubs & Work with Community Partners
Giving back is important to us, and we’re committed to supporting local sports clubs, schools, and events. In 2025, we’re going to sponsor more clubs and work with partners who align with our values and community spirit.
12. Get a Better Handle on SEO (So People Can Actually Find Us!)
This year, I’m focused on learning SEO inside and out. My goal is to make sure our website, blog posts, and social content are easily found by people searching for dress hire services in Bendigo and regional Victoria. It’s time to stop guessing and really understand how to make our online presence work for us.
13. Collaborate with More Designers & Fashion Agencies
Building stronger relationships with designers and fashion agencies is at the top of our agenda for 2025. Whether it’s through fashion week connections or exclusive partnerships, we want to keep bringing fresh collections to our customers.
Final Thoughts (aka The Fun Part)
At the end of the day, setting these goals and making endless lists is what keeps me grounded and on track. Between being a single mum, running No Strings, and trying to figure out what the heck I’m doing on social media, having these plans gives me something solid to work toward. Sure, the to-do list might never really end, but ticking off those goals — big or small — always feels pretty damn good. No Strings is still my baby, but it’s growing up fast. And with a little bit of planning, a lot of coffee, and the amazing community we’ve built, I’m excited to see where it takes us this year.
